ENCAPSULATED CAPACITOR WITH MINIMUM ANODE IMPEDANCE Abstract of Disclosure Superior capacitor characteristics are achieved by providing a capacitor body having a solid porous anode of film forming metal which is characterized by a multiplicity of microscopic inter- communicating voids and permeated by at least one channel to reduce the quantity of metal in the anode with a cathode substantially surrounding the anode. A protective layer of an epoxy resin, silicone resins and rubbers, phenoxy resins, or phenolic resins encapsulate the body.
