The Equilibrium Bed Abstract In a bed for sleeping or resting it is to have a system of independent supports, for each small area of the human body, which are all interconnected and thus inter-dependent on each other via a system of connected chambers filled with a free flow substance such as water, air or hydraulic fluid. All chambers are also connected parallel to the main or common chamber where the combined total pressure of all the supports holding the body will culminate and displace a single total weight pressure on a self balancing weigh scale capable of tolerating various human weights. This scale when balanced will then apply the natural equal counter-pressure of gravity back onto the opposing supports, with equal division of the total weight being distributed to each individual small body support. Various shapes and sizes of the supports can be introduced for optimum contour and comfort as well as a heating system which could be used in the case of a water based system.
