ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to an apparatus for automatically knotting the openings of a flexible container. The apparatus includes a hook mounted on a shuttle which moves back and forth drawing the loop over another hook from which the container is suspended. The shuttle is connected to a piston which moves the shuttle. The shuttle has a lever pivotal attached thereto. The lever rotates relative to the shuttle as the shuttle moves in a first direction bringing the lever into contact with an organ member which actuates cyclic operation of the piston.
