The present invention relates to novel etching media in the form of printable, homogeneous, particle-free etching pastes having non--Newtonian flow behaviour for etching inorganic surfaces, in particular of glasses, preferably silicon oxide- and silicon nitride-based glass and other silicon oxide- and silicon nitride-based systems and layers thereof, and the use of these etching media.

L'invention concerne de nouvelles substances d'attaque chimique, se présentant sous la forme de pâtes d'attaque chimique pouvant être soumises à une pression, exemptes de particule, présentant un comportement d'écoulement non newtonien. Ces pâtes servent à attaquer chimiquement des surfaces inorganiques, notamment des verres, de préférence du verre à base d'oxyde de silicium et de nitrure de silicium, ainsi que d'autres systèmes à base d'oxyde de silicium et de nitrure de silicium, et leurs couches. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation de ces substances d'attaque chimique.
