An expandable vinyl chloride resin composition in which the expansion ratio for the vinyl chloride resin can be significantly heightened by using a thermally decomposable inorganic foaming agent in place of an organic solvent foaming agent. The composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a vinyl chloride resin, 5 to 30 parts by weight of a (meth)acrylic ester polymer, as a processing aid, whose solution in chloroform with a concentration of 0.1 g/100 ml has a specific viscosity at 30 ~C of 0.73 or higher, and 2 to 25 parts by weight of a thermally decomposable inorganic foaming agent.
L'invention porte sur un composition expansible de résine de chlorure de vinyle où le coefficient d'expansion de la résine peut être sensiblement accru du fait de l'emploi d'un agent d'expansion minéral se décomposant à la chaleur au lieu d'un agent d'expansion fait d'un solvant organique. La susdite composition comprend en poids: 100 parts de résine, de 5 à 30 parts d'un polymère d'ester (meth) acrylique servant d'adjuvant de traitement (dont la solution dans le chloroforme, à une concentration de 0,1 g/100 ml, présente une densité spécifique à 30 ·C de 0.73 ou plus), et de 2 à 25 parts d'un agent d'expansion minéral se décomposant à la chaleur.
