Le procédé de fabrication d'un isolateur composite constitué d'un jonc (2) entouré par un revêtement isolant (6 ) et pourvu à ses deux extrémités respectivement de deux armatures métalliques (4) consiste dans les étapes suivantes - on fixe aux deux extrémités du jonc deux interfaces métalliques (3;13) respectivement sur lesquelles viendront se fixer les armatures métalliques de l'isolateur, - on pose le revêtement autour du jonc et autour des interfaces métalliques en laissant une partie d'extrémité de chaque interface métallique non recouverte par le revêtement pour permettre une fixation ultérieure des armatures métalliques.
