The present invention provides a method, a system, a node in a communications system and a computer program facilitating a data transmission from a push service provider that addresses data by an Internet protocol address to a receiver which is identified in a communications system by a subscriber identity different to the IP address. The subscriber identity is determined by use of a first portion of the IP address for a look-up of a first portion of the subscriber identity, and by an assignment of a second portion of the IP address to a second portion of the subscriber identity. The invention can be used for different IP address formats like IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. The invention can be used in GSM/GPRS systems, PDC/PPDC and UMTS systems.
L'invention concerne un procédé, un système, un noeud dans un système de communication et un programme informatique facilitant la transmission de données par un fournisseur de services mettant en application un logiciel personnalisé ("push service") adressant des données au moyen d'une adresse de protocole Internet à un récepteur identifié dans un système de communication par une identité d'abonné différente de l'adresse de protocole Internet (IP). L'identité d'abonné est déterminée au moyen d'une première partie de l'adresse de protocole Internet afin d'effectuer une consultation d'une première partie de cette identité d'abonné et par une affectation d'une deuxième partie de l'adresse de protocole Internet à une deuxième partie de l'identité d'abonné. On peut mettre en application l'invention pour différents formats d'adresse IP tels que des adresses IPv4 et IPv6. On peut l'utiliser dans des systèmes GSM/GPRS, PDC/PPDC et UMTS.
