A fault current fusing resistor, comprising a substrate (13) on which there is a line (10) of resistive film formed of metal and glass in a conductive film, which line (10) is closely confined by containing and sealing substances (19, 22) to prevent venting of vapor from the line (10) during the fusing caused by an electrical fault condition.
