A method for producing an optical fiber that includes a method for producing an optical fiber, said method comprising: (i) drawing a bare optical fiber from a preform along a first pathway at a rate of at least 10 m/sec; (ii) contacting said bare optical fiber with a region of fluid in a fluid bearing and redirecting said bare optical fiber along a second pathway as said bare optical fiber is drawn across said region of fluid cushion; (iii) coating the bare optical fiber; and (iv) irradiating said coated fiber in at least one irradiation zone to at least partially cure said coating, while subjecting the optical fiber to UV light.
La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire une fibre optique, ledit procédé comprenant : (i) le fibrage d'une fibre optique nue à partir d'une préforme le long d'une première trajectoire à une vitesse d'au moins 10 m/sec ; (ii) la mise en contact de ladite fibre optique nue avec une région de fluide dans un fluide portant et redirigeant ladite fibre optique nue le long d'une seconde trajectoire à mesure que ladite fibre optique nue est fibrée à travers ladite région d'amortissement fluide ; (iii) le revêtement de la fibre optique nue ; et (iv) l'irradiation de ladite fibre revêtue dans au moins une zone d'irradiation afin de durcir au moins partiellement ledit revêtement, tout en soumettant la fibre optique à un rayonnement UV.
