Fiber-reinforced composites prepared from a depolymerizable and repolymerizable polymer have the processing advantages of a thermoset without being brittle. Impregnation of polymer into the fiber bundle can be achieved with ease, while still producing a composite with excellent physical properties and high damage tolerance.

L'invention concerne des composites renforcés aux fibres et préparés à partir d'un polymère dépolymérisable et repolymérisable, ces composites présentant les avantages technologiques des thermodurcis sans pour autant être cassants. L'imprégnation dudit polymère à l'intérieur du faisceau de fibres est facilement réalisable, et produit un composite présentant d'excellentes propriétés physiques et une résistance élevée aux détériorations.
