The invention concerns a fireproof glazing comprising at least two glass sheets, between which is provided a transparent fireproof material made of hardened hydrated alkaline polysilicate. At least one glass sheet is provided, on its surface which is in contact with the fireproof material, with a primer coating whereof the adherence to the fireproof layer decreases at fire-resistance testing temperatures. At fire-resistance testing temperature, the glass sheet exposed to fire is completely detached from the fireproof material. Thus, the polysilicate fireproof shield remains intact, even when the exposed glass sheet breaks and the fragments fall.
