A folding keyboard includes a folding tray having a first tray portion pivotally connected to a second tray portion along a pivot axis. The first tray portion and the second tray portion are movable between a substantially coplanar operative position and a substantially parallel stored position. A first keyboard section is positioned in the first tray portion. A second keyboard section is positioned in the second tray portion. The folding tray is maintained in the operative position by relative movement of the first keyboard section and the second keyboard section to an abutting position overlying the pivot axis.
