"FUNCTIONALIZED POLYMERS FROM METALLATED CRYSTALLINE COPOLYMERS OF OLEFINS WITH DIENES AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING SAME" ABSTRACT Functionalized polymers obtained from mutilated crystalline copolymers of ethylene and/or alpha-olefins with minor proportions of a diene by reaction with monomers polymerizable by anionic methods or with compounds reactive with the metallated polymer. The metallated copolymer is obtained by reaction of the olefin copolymer with metalorganic compounds of lithium, operating in suspension in an inert solvent. The lithiation stage and the subsequent polymer modification reaction take place in inert hydrocarbon suspension at a temperature below that of the swelling of the starting copolymer.
