A furnace particularly for heat treatments of glass sheets (12), comprising a longitudinally-elongated chamber which contains roller conveyor elements (11) for the glass sheets (12). The furnace comprises irradiation-heating elements (13, 14) combined with first (18) and second (24) elements for heating by forced air convection in which the air temperature is controlled by adjusting its circulation rate, the elements being located respectively above and below the conveyor elements (11) and therefore above and below the sheets (12) being treated.

Cette invention concerne un four conçu particulièrement pour traiter thermiquement des feuilles de verre (12). Ce four comporte une chambre à extension longitudinale contenant des éléments de transporteurs à rouleaux (11) destinés aux feuilles de verre (12). Le four comporte des éléments (13, 14) de chauffage par irradiation associés à un premier élément (18) et à un second élément (24) de chauffage par convection à air forcé dans lesquels on régule la température de l'air en ajustant sa vitesse de circulation, lesdits éléments étant disposés respectivement au-dessus et au-dessous des éléments du transporteur (11) et par conséquent au-dessus et au-dessous des feuilles de verre (12) à traiter.
