The compound and salt have the excellent function of inhibiting VR1 activity and are effective in the treatment of diseases in which vanilloid receptor 1 (VR1) activity participates, such as pains, acute pains, chronic pains, neuropathic pains, pains of chronic articular rheumatism, and neuralgia.
