A fusion welding device include: a first holder, having a first face, and adapted to hold at least an outer peripheral face of an end portion of a first work in a state where the first work is movable in a longitudinal direction thereof; a second holder, having a second face opposed to the first face, and adapted to hold at least an outer peripheral face of an end portion of a second work in a state where the second work is movable in a longitudinal direction thereof; a heater, operable to heat the first and second works; a first and second movers, adapted to move the first and second holders in such directions that the first and second faces come close to or apart from each other; and a third mover, adapted to move the first and second holders in synchronization with each other in a direction along the first and second faces. The first and second holders are moved by the third mover in a state where the first and second faces are in contact with each other, whereby end faces of the end portions of the first and second works are pressed to each other in the longitudinal directions thereof in the first and second holders.
L'appareil de soudage par fusion considéré comporte : un premier support, qui comprend une première face, et conçu pour maintenir au moins une face périphérique extérieure d'une portion de l'extrémité d'une première pièce travaillée dans une position où elle peut être déplacée dans une direction longitudinale; un second support, présentant une deuxième face en vis-à-vis par rapport à la première face, et conçu pour maintenir au moins une face périphérique extérieure d'une portion de l'extrémité d'une seconde pièce travaillée dans une position où elle peut être déplacée dans une direction longitudinale;'un dispositif servant à chauffer la première pièce travaillée et la seconde; de dispositifs servant à déplacer le premier et le second supports dans des directions telles que la première et la seconde faces viendront proches l'une de l'autre ou seront éloignées l'une de l'autre; et un troisième dispositif de déplacement conçu pour faire bouger les premier et second supports en synchronisme l'un avec l'autre dans une direction correspondant aux première et seconde faces. Les premier et second supports sont déplacés par le troisième dispositif de déplacement dans une position où les première et seconde faces sont en contact l'une avec l'autre, les faces des portions d'extrémité des première et seconde pièces travaillées étant pressées l'une contre l'autre dans la direction longitudinale des premier et second supports.
