GALLIUM COMPOUNDS Abstract of the Invention Gallium(III) complexes of general formula I, Image I in which X = O2CR2, halogen, NO3 or -OA, R1 = H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, NO2 or amino, R2 = alkyl, alkoxy or aryl, each of R3, R4, R5 and R6 = H or alkyl and n = O, 1 or 2, or when n = O and R3 and R6 both = R, then R4 and R5 together may form tetramethylene, and A = an identical gallium complex moiety to that to which the oxygen atom is linked, are well absorbed orally, and are indicated as medicaments for hypercalcemia and for cancer chemotherapy.
