In a gaming establishment, a player feeds a general purpose charge card (24) to a reader (26) at a gaming machine (10) or enters on a keyboard (20), information relating to the general purpose charge card (24), and keys in a desired amount of paying credit and optionally a PIN (personal identification number) for automatic transmission to a remote financial institution (28) either directly or through an intermediate transaction processing facility. Also, transmitted are an identification of the gaming machine (27) and the gaming operator (29). Upon approval of the requested playing credit, the gaming machine (10) is enabled and thereafter a running net (balance) is kept for the player and/or each machine and/or gaming operator by accounting for win-lose-draws. After the playing session is over, net playing credit information is automatically transmitted to the financial institution (28) either directly or through an intermediate transaction processing facility.
Dans un établissement de jeux, un joueur introduit une carte de crédit polyvalente (24) dans un lecteur (26) équipant une machine de jeu (10) ou saisit sur un clavier (20) des informations concernant la carte de crédit polyvalente (24). Le joueur saisit ensuite au clavier un montant de crédit de paiement souhaité et éventuellement un code confidentiel permettant une transmission automatique à destination d'une institution financière (28) située à distance, cette transmission se faisant, soit directement, soit par un dispositif intermédiaire de traitement de transactions. Les informations transmises portent également une identification de la machine de jeu (27) et de l'exploitant du jeu (29). Dès que le crédit de jeu demandé est approuvé, la machine de jeu (10) est validée, à la suite de quoi le système tient à jour un solde net courant concernant le joueur et/ou chaque machine et/ou l'exploitant de jeu par comptabilisation des gains, pertes et parties. Une fois que la session de jeu est terminé, le système transmet automatiquement des informations de crédit net de jeu, laquelle transmission se fait à destination de l'institution financière (28), soit directement, soit par un dispositif intermédiaire de traitement de transactions.
