Monoclonal antibodies which specifically bind human CD23, the low affinity receptor for IgE (FceRII/CD23), and contain either a human gamma-1 or human gamma-3 constant domain, are disclosed. The antibodies are useful for modulating or inhibiting induced IgE expression. Accordingly, they have practical utility in the treatment or prophylaxis of disease conditions wherein inhibition of induced IgE production is therapeutically desirable, including allergic conditions, autoimmune diseases and inflammatory diseases.
L'invention concerne des anticorps monoclonaux qui fixent spécifiquement le CD23 humain, le récepteur de faible affinité pour les IgE (FceRII/CD23), et contiennent soit un domaine constant humain gamma-1 soit un domaine constant humain gamma-3. Ces anticorps sont utiles pour moduler ou inhiber l'expression de IgE induite. En conséquence, ils sont d'une utilité pratique dans le traitement ou la prophylaxie d'états pathologiques pour lesquels l'inhibition de la production de IgE induite est souhaitable sur le plan thérapeutique, y compris les états allergiques, les maladies auto-immunes et inflammatoires.
