A glass base material producing device for producing a glass base material used for the material of an optical fiber, characterized by comprising a plurality of burners disposed in a row at specified intervals along the longitudinal direction of a starting base material, for forming a deposit that functions as the base material of the glass base material by depositing glass fine particles on the starting base material while the particles being reciprocatingly moved over a section of the entire length of the starting base material along the longitudinal direction of the starting base material of the glass base material, flow rate regulators at least one of which is connected to each of the plurality of burners, for regulating the flow rates of a synthesis gas of glass fine particles supplied to the burners, and a control unit connected to respective flow rate regulators, for separately controlling the flow rate regulators.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de production d'une matière à base de verre utilisée pour une fibre optique. Le dispositif comporte des brûleurs disposés en rangée à des intervalles déterminés le long de la direction longitudinale d'une matière de base. Le dispositif forme un dépôt servant de matière de base à la matière à base de verre, par dépôt de fines particules de verre sur la matière de base tandis que les particules sont déplacées alternativement sur une section de la longueur totale de la matière de base le long de la direction longitudinale de celle-ci. Le dispositif comporte également des régulateurs de débit, un desquels au moins est relié à chaque brûleur afin de réguler le débit d'un gaz de synthèse de fines particules de verre alimentées aux brûleurs, ainsi qu'une unité de commande reliée aux régulateurs de débit respectifs pour les commander séparément.
