A glass wool collector shaping molten glass into fine fibers that are then collected in the form of a mat. Accumulation conveyor unit is provided below glass fiberizers for collecting glass wool as it accumulates after falling from the glass fiberizers. Hood sidewall members are provided on opposite sides of the upper surface of the conveyor unit in its widthwise direction. Annular strip forming the peripheral wall of each of the hood sidewall members is allowed to make endless and continuous motion in a direction parallel to direction in which the glass wool on the accumulation conveyor unit moves. Upper sidewall members are provided above both hood sidewall members. Second annular strip forming the peripheral wall of each of the upper sidewall member is adapted to extend to such a position that it overhangs areas that are the upper part and above each of the hood sidewall members. The second annular strips are allowed to make endless and continuous motion in a direction perpendicular to direction in which the glass wool on the accumulation conveyor unit moves. The surfaces of the second annular strips are wiped by means of cleaners fitted on the respective upper sidewall members.
