Shaped, unbaked dough products are provided that are coated with a glaze comprising an amount of water, a reducing sugar and a hydrophilic colloid. When baked, the dough products produce a finished product with increased horizontal dimensions over that which would be expected based on the raw dimensions of the unbaked dough product.

Cette invention concerne des produits à base de pâte crus et mis en forme, lesquels sont revêtus d'un glaçage comprenant une certaine quantité d'eau, un sucre réducteur et un colloïde hydrophile. Une fois cuits, ces produits à base de pâte donnent un produit fini qui possède des dimensions horizontales plus importantes que celles auxquelles on s'attend lorsque l'on se réfère aux dimensions brutes des produits crus à base de pâte.
