When lateral acceleration conditions of a railway vehicle are measured and the load-bearing bottom inclination is accordingly optimised, problems are caused by time delays between measurement and adjustment, as well as measurement disturbances. To avoid such problems, lateral inclination relevant railway track data are stored in a track modelling memory (27), together with the detected real position (1), the railway track data relevant in the present or in the future are fetched in the storage and the precisely curently required inclination (.alpha.s) of the load-bearing bottom is precisely calculated (29) and adjusted (11) depending on the detected instantaneous speed (9) of the vehicle.
