ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A front sight for use on a rifle with a conventional rear V-grooved sight, includes a disc-shaped body, a semi- circular opening in the top of the body leaving a substantially semicircular top rim and a closed bottom portion; a rectangular slot extending downwardly from the straight bottom edge of the opening for alignment with the rear V-groove; and a plurality of horizontally extending elevation lines on the body for alignment width the top edge of the rear sight to provide an indication of the distance between the gun and the target.
