ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is provided an improvement in hack saws so that such hack saws can be used in narrow spaces. To this end, a hack saw is provided with a frame and fastening means for mounting a hack saw blade in the hack saw in such a manner that as between the frame of the hack saw and the blade, the blade extends obliquely rearwardly from the front to the back of the hack saw. The distance between the fasteners for the hack saw is such that it is greater than the distance of a hack saw blade so that upon flexing of the U-shaped portion, the blade can be mounted in the hack saw and, at the same time, the blade will be maintained under tension once it is mounted.
