DR55-4 ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION What is described is a hair treatment device with a winding mandrel driven by a reversible motor and with a hair dryer the outflow nozzle of which is installed perpendicularly to the axis of the winding mandrel and which is adjustable in such manner that the emerging flow reaches the hair wound up on the winding mandrel at a tangent. The direction of flow of the winding mandrel and the position of the outflow nozzle of the hair dryer are coupled in such manner with the activation of the reversing switch of the drive motor that the hair wound up on the winding mandrel is subjected to air flow in the direction of the hair ends. Reversal is effected via two switches (1, 2) of which the first switch (1) is actuated directly by the reversing switch (3) and the second switch (2) is actuated only after a certain time delay.
