The invention relates to a hand-rail that can be used for escalators, moving pavements and the like. The inventive hand-rail has a C-shaped cross-section, outer layers in the form of a sliding layer (3) and a rubber top layer (2) for the user, a layer with tractive support elements, especially steel chords that are embedded in rubber and oriented in a longitudinal direction, and at least one respective reinforcing layer (5) extending into the lip areas on both sides of the tractive support elements. At least one of the reinforcing layers (5) consists of a rubber layer with homogeneously distributed short fibres (6) with a preferred orientation, extending at an angle deviating from 0~ in relation to the longitudinal direction of the hand-rail (1).
L'invention concerne une main courante pour des escaliers mécaniques, tapis roulants ou similaires. Cette main courante présente une section en C, une couche coulissante (3) et une couche de recouvrement en caoutchouc (2) qui est contact avec l'utilisateur, ces deux couches servant de couches extérieures, ainsi qu'une couche présentant des éléments de traction, notamment des câbles d'acier noyés dans le caoutchouc et orientés dans le sens longitudinal, et, de chaque côté de l'élément de traction, au moins une couche de renforcement (5) s'étendant dans les zones de lèvres. Au moins une de ces couches de renforcement (5) est une couche de caoutchouc comportant des fibres courtes (6) qui sont réparties de manière homogène, présentent une orientation privilégiée et forment un angle différent de 0· par rapport à la direction longitudinale de la main courante (1).
