An exercise and therapy hand device consists of a glove having an exterior surface and an interior surface for receiving a hand. The glove includes a palm portion; one or more finger portions, each for receiving a finger and including a fingerprint area; and a back portion. The hand exercise device also comprises a plurality of elastic members, such that each of the plurality of elastic members is attached to the exterior surface of the fingerprint area of a respective one of the one or more finger portions and also attached to the exterior surface of the palm portion. The exercise and therapy device also includes a compressible substance attached to the exterior surface of the palm portion, such that each of the plurality of elastic members is attached to the attached to the compressible substance. The compressible substance exercises the hand during the closing of the hand, while the plurality of elastic members exercises the hand during the opening of the hand.
