The hanger has a pair of jaws, one of which is pivotal and the other is not. A link extends between the jaws and is fixed to the non-pivotal jaw and is hinged to the pivotal jaw such that the lower portion of the pivotal jaw pivots from a closed position to an open position relative to the non-pivotal jaw. A catch is biased into engagement with the upper portion of the pivotal jaw when the pivotal jaw is in the closed position and functions to immobilize the pivotal jaw in the closed position until a force, opposed to the bias of the catch, is applied to separate the lower portions of the two jaws. Fingers extend inward from the inner walls of the two jaws and function to oppose removal of any sheet material between the jaws when the pivotal jaw is in the closed position.
