The present invention relates to heat-curable, cyclic isocyanate addition products i) which are the reaction products of a) a polyisocyanate component having an average isocyanate functionality of two or more and a uretdione group content (calculated as N2C2O2, MW 84) of 1 to 30%, based on the weight of the polyisocyanate component, with b) a compound containing two or more isocyanate-reactive groups and ii) in which at least 10% by weight of the reaction products are in the form of cyclic groups containing urea and/or urethane groups. The present invention also relates to a process for the preparation of these cyclic isocyanate addition products and to the products obtained by curing these compositions, optionally in the presence of other isocyanate-reactive compounds, at elevated temperatures, e.g., coatings, adhesives, molded articles, elastomers and foams.
La présente invention concerne des compositions thermodurcissables à base de produits d'addition d'isocyanate cyclique i) qui sont des produits de la réaction entre : a) un composant ayant une fonctionalité isocyanate moyenne de deux ou plus, et une teneur en groupe uretione (calculé comme N2C2O2, MW 84) d'entre 1 et 30 %, par rapport au poids du composant polyisocyanate, et b) un composé comprenant deux groupes ou plus réactifs aux isocyanates et ii) chez lesquels au moins 10 % par poids des produits de réaction se retrouvent en forme de groupes cycliques contenant des groupes d'urée et/ou d'uréthane. La présente invention concerne également un processus pour la préparation de ces produits d'addition d'isocyanate cyclique et les produits obtenus par le thermodurcissement desdites compositions, avec ou sans la présence d'autres composés réactifs aux isocyanates (exemple : revêtements, adhésifs, articles moulés, élastomères et mousses).
