A process and reactor system for hydrocarbon conversion by primary and secondary reforming; the improvement comprises: (i) reacting a process gas stream of hydrocarbon feed and steam in a first gas heated reactor in the presence of a steam reforming catalyst to a partially primary reformed process gas stream by indirect heat exchange with a moderately hot product gas stream from the shell side of a second gas heated reactor introduced into the shell side of the first gas heated reactor in counter-flow to the reacting process gas stream in the first gas heated reactor; (ii) dividing the partially primary reformed process gas stream from the first gas heated reactor into a first and second substream; (iii) reacting the first substream in the presence of a steam reforming catalyst in a convective heated tubular reactor furnace to a primary reformed gas stream; (iv) reacting the second substream in the second gas heated reactor in the presence of a steam reforming catalyst by indirect heat exchange with a hot product gas stream from an adiabatic secondary reforming reactor introduced into the shell side of the second gas heated reactor in parallel-flow to the reacting second substream in the second gas heated reactor to provide a primary reformed gas stream and to cool the hot product gas stream to the moderately hot product gas stream; (v) combining the primary reformed gas stream obtained in (iii) and (iv); and (vi) reacting the combined primary reformed gas stream in the adiabatic secondary reforming reactor with an oxidant gas in the presence of a secondary steam reforming catalyst to form the hot product gas stream.
Procédé et réacteur pour conversion d'hydrocarbures par reformage primaire et secondaire. L'amélioration comprend les éléments suivants : i) réaction d'une alimentation gazeuse d'hydrocarbures et de vapeur dans un premier réacteur chauffé au gaz, en présence d'un catalyseur de reformage à la vapeur, donnant un gaz de reformage primaire partiel, par échange thermique indirect avec un gaz produit modérément chaud, provenant du côté enveloppe d'un second réacteur chauffé au gaz, introduit vers le côté enveloppe du premier réacteur chauffé au gaz, à contre-courant du gaz réagissant dans le premier réacteur chauffé au gaz; ii) division du circuit de gaz de reformage primaire partiel provenant du premier réacteur chauffé au gaz en un premier et un second sous-circuits; iii) réaction du premier sous-circuit dans un four à réacteur tubulaire chauffé par convection, en présence d'un catalyseur de reformage à la vapeur, produisant un gaz de reformage primaire; iv) réaction du second sous-circuit dans le second réacteur chauffé au gaz, en présence d'un catalyseur de reformage à la vapeur, par échange thermique indirect avec un gaz produit chaud provenant d'un réacteur de reformage secondaire adiabatique et introduit du côté enveloppe du second réacteur chauffé au gaz, avec écoulement parallèle au second sous-circuit réactif dans le second réacteur chauffé au gaz, produisant un gaz de reformage primaire et refroidissant le gaz chaud produit en un gaz produit modérément chaud; v) combinaison du gaz de reformage primaire obtenu en iii) et iv); vi) réaction du gaz de reformage primaire combiné, dans le réacteur de reformage adiabatique secondaire, avec un oxydant gazeux, en présence d'un catalyseur de reformage secondaire à la vapeur, avec obtention d'un circuit de gaz produit chaud.
