Safety helmets currently are fitted with a liner that has a vinyl band. In this invention, the band is made of several thicknesses of fabric in order to absorb perspiration and make the safety helmet more comfortable to wear. The advantage of this band is that it can easily be removed for washing and is simple to reinstall in the helmet.
