Methods are provided for preparing a compound with a fused ring structure of formula (XIV) which comprises one or more reactions starting from a 21-cyano compound of formula (XVI) where typically: R1 is an amidomethylene group or an acyloxymethylene group; R5 and R8 are independently chosen from -H, -OH or -OCOCH2OH, or R5 and R8 are both keto and the ring A is a p-benzoquinone ring; R14a and R14b are both -H ozone is -H and the other is -OH, -OCH3 or -OCH2CH3, or R14a and R14b together form a keto group; and R15 and R18 are independently chosen from -H or -OH, or R5 and R8 are both keto and the ring A is a p-benzoquinone ring. In modified starting materials, the 21-cyano group can be replaced by other groups introduced using nucleophilic reagents.

L'invention concerne des procédés de préparation d'un composé doté d'une structure à anneaux condensés de formule (XIV) qui comprend au moins une réaction commençant par un composé 21-cyano de formule (XVI). Dans cette dernière formule, généralement, R<1> représente un groupe amidométhylène ou un groupe acyloxyméthylène, R<5> et R<8> sont choisis indépendamment parmi -H, -OH ou -OCOCH2OH, ou bien R<5> et R<8> désignent tous deux céto et l'anneau A est un anneau p-benzoquinone, R<14a> et R<14b> sont tous deux -H ou l'un représente -H et l'autre représente -OH, -OCH3 ou -OCH2CH3, ou R<14a> et R<14b> forment ensemble un groupe céto; et R<15> et R<18> sont choisis indépendamment parmi -H ou -OH, ou R<5> et R<8> désignent tous deux céto et l'anneau A est un anneau p-benzoquinone. Avec des matières de départ modifiées, le groupe 21-cyano peut être remplacé par d'autres groupes introduits au moyen de réactifs nucléophiliques.
