The present invention relates to the field of processing hydrocarbons which causes corrosion in the metal surfaces of processing units. The invention addresses the technical problem of high temperature naphthenic acid corrosion and sulphur corrosion and provides a solution to inhibit these types of corrosion. The composition formed by reacting high reactive polyisobutylene (HRPIB) with phosphorous pentasulphide in presence of catalytic amount of sulphur provides high corrosion inhibition efficiency in case of high temperature naphthenic acid corrosion inhibition and sulphur corrosion inhibition. The invention is useful in all hydrocarbon processing units, such as, refineries, distillation columns and other petrochemical industries.
La présente invention concerne le domaine du traitement des hydrocarbures qui provoquent une corrosion des surfaces métalliques d'unités de traitement. L'invention s'attaque au problème technique de la corrosion à haute température par l'acide naphténique et de la corrosion par le soufre, et fournit une solution pour inhiber ces types de corrosion. La composition formée par réaction de polyisobutylène hautement réactif (HRPIB) avec du pentasulfure phosphoreux en présence d'une quantité catalytique de soufre permet d'augmenter l'efficacité d'inhibition de la corrosion à haute température par l'acide naphténique et par le soufre. L'invention est utile dans toutes les unités de traitement d'hydrocarbures telles que les raffineries, les colonnes de distillation et autres industries pétrochimiques.
