An article formed into a honeycomb being produced by extruding a mixture of a powdery material and a molding binder, wherein a mixture of a wax and a thermoplastic resin is used as the binder, characterized in that the binder comprises the thermoplastic resin in an amount of 5 to 50 wt %. The article formed into a honeycomb enables the large scale production of a honeycomb having a thin partition wall of a thickness of 25 to 100 m without causing cracking of the honeycomb or deformation of a mouth piece for use in extruding and with good efficiency.
Article présentant un aspect de nid d'abeille et fabriqué par extrusion d'un mélange de matériau pulvérulent et d'un liant de moulage. On utilise un mélange de cire et de résine thermoplastique afin de constituer le liant dont la teneur en résine thermoplastique est de 5 à 50 % en poids. Cet article permet de produire sur une grande échelle un nid d'abeille possédant une cloison mince présentant une épaisseur de 25 à 100 µm, sans provoquer de fissurage du nid d'abeille ni de déformation de l'ajutage mis en application pour l'extrusion.
