ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A glassware forming machine distributes gobs of molten glass at a predetermined rate and forms glassware articles in a timed, predetermined sequence of steps from the gobs. A con- trol circuit responsive to timing signals cyclically controls the actuation of devices for forming the articles in cycles of the timed, predetermined sequence of steps. A gob detector responds to the presence of a gob proximate each forming device for generating a time reference signal to the control circuit, which is adjustable for varying the starting time of the subse- quent forming cycle of the timed, predetermined sequence of steps.
