A system and method of identifying programs contained on a disk of any format, including, for example, either a single-sided or a double-sided disk with either a single-layer or mufti-layer tracks, are presented. In particular, a dual-sided recording medium is disclosed having respective program data on the first and the second sides of said medium. In addition, the medium has a first area on the first side and a second area on the second side, and the areas have laser encoded data representing individualizable information relating to said respective program data. The areas may or may not overlap each other depending on the configuration chosen. Also disclosed is an apparatus for laser encoding the above-described recording medium, and a method for processing a disk having more than one laser encoded areas.
Cette invention se rapport à un système et à un procédé d'identification de programmes contenus sur un disque ne n'importe quelle format, y compris notamment un disque simple face ou un disque double face ayant soit des pistes monocouches soit des pistes multicouches. Cette invention présente en particulier un support d'enregistrement à deux faces comportant des données de programmes respectives sur sa première et sur sa seconde face. Ledit support comporte en outre une première région sur la première face et une seconde région sur la seconde face, ces régions contenant des données codées par laser représentant des informations individualisables relatives à ces données de programmes respectives. Ces régions peuvent se chevaucher ou ne pas se chevaucher, selon la configuration choisie. Cette invention présente également un appareil servant à coder par laser ce support d'enregistrement, ainsi qu'un procédé servant à traiter un disque comportant plus d'une région codée par laser.
