An image screen contains a material layer (1), which has an entrance surface (1a) for receiving X-rays (R) in X-ray imaging, and on the opposite side of the material layer an exit surface (1b), on which an image that can be picked- up optically is generated. To form the image, there are areas (2) of a material which emits light by the effect of X-ray radiation, which areas (2) are adjacent to each other in the plane of the screen and located between the entrance surface (1a) and the exit surface (1b) in the thickness direction of the material layer. The areas (2) are separated from each other in the plane of the screen to improve spatial resolution. Longitudinal axes (Z) of the areas (2) extending in the thickness direction of the material layer are arranged in varying angles (.alpha.) of inclination with the plane of the screen so that the angles of inclination increase from the middle of the screen towards the edges so that extensions to the longitudinal axes (Z) converge towards the central axis (A). The invention also relates to a method for producing an image screen used for X-ray imaging.
L'invention porte sur un écran images comprenant une couche de matériau (1) pourvue d'une surface d'entrée (1a) destinée à recevoir des rayons X (R) dans une représentation d'images par rayons X, et sur le côté opposé de la couche de matériau, une surface de sortie (1b) sur laquelle est générée une image d'origine optique. Pour former l'image, des zones (2) constituées d'un matériau qui émet de la lumière sous l'effet des rayons X sont adjacentes les unes aux autres par rapport au plan de l'écran et sont situées entre la surface d'entrée (1a) et la surface de sortie (1b) dans le sens de l'épaisseur de la couche de matériau. Ces zones (2) sont séparées les unes des autres par rapport au plan de l'écran de façon à améliorer la résolution spatiale. Les axes longitudinaux (Z) des zones (2), dans le sens de l'épaisseur de la couche de matériau, sont disposés selon divers angles (.alpha.) d'inclinaison par rapport au plan de l'écran de façon à augmenter du milieu de l'écran vers les angles, et que les prolongations jusqu'aux axes longitudinaux (Z) convergent vers l'axe central (A). L'invention porte également sur un procédé de production d'un écran images utilisé en imagerie par rayons X.
