Imidazopyridine derivatives represented by the general formula [.IOTA.]: [wherein R1 and R2 are each independently C1-6 alkyl or the like; R3 and R4 are each hydrogen, methyl, or the like; W is a mono- or bi-cyclic, 3- to 8- membered, aromatic or aliphatic heterocycle or the like; and Ar is an optionally substituted aromatic heterocycle or the like]. These compounds act as melanin-concentrating hormone receptor antagonist and are useful as medicines for central nervous system diseases, circulatory diseases, and metabolic diseases.

L'invention concerne des dérivés d'imidazopyridines représentés par la formule générale [I]. Dans cette formule, R<sp>1</sp> et R<sp>2</sp> représentent chacun de façon indépendante un alkyle en C<sb>1-6</sb> ou analogue; R<sp>3</sp> et R<sp>4</sp> représentent chacun un hydrogène, un méthyle ou analogue; W représente un hétérocycle aliphatique ou aromatique, à 3 à 5 éléments, mono-orbi-cyclique ou analogue; et Ar représente un hétérocycle aromatique éventuellement substitué ou analogue. Ces composés agissent en tant qu'antagoniste de récepteur d'hormone concentrant la mélanine et sont utiles en tant que médicaments pour les maladies du système nerveux, les maladies circulatoires et les maladies métaboliques.
