Abstract of the Disclosure Novel imidazopyridine derivatives of formula I Image I wherein R is Image and X, -Y=Z-, R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are as defined in Patent Claim 1, and their salts, exhibit antagonistic properties towards angiotensin II and can be used for the treatment of hypertension, aldosteronism, cardiac insuf- ficiency and increased intraocular pressure, and of disorders of the central nervous system.
