The invention concerns the melting vitrifiable materials with at least one immersed burner (9) generating a flame within said melted vitrifiable materials, characterized in that at least one gas intake (10) separated from the burner is sufficiently close to said burner (9) to interact with said flame. The separate intake (10) interacts with the flame of the burner (9) to regulate same, thereby reducing risks of melted materials reverting into the burner (9).

L' invention concerne la fusion de matières vitrif iables par au moins un brûleur immergé (9) générant une flamme au sein desdites matières vitrif iables fondues, caractérisé en ce qu'au moins une arrivée de gaz (10) séparée du brûleur est suffisamment proche dudit brûleur (9) pour interagir avec ladite flamme. L'arrivée séparée (10) interagit avec la flamme du brûleur (9) pour la réguler, ce qui réduit les risques de retour de matières fondues dans le brûleur (9).
