36-CA-3469 IMPREGNANTS FOR METALLIZED PAPER ELECTRODE CAPACITORS Abstract of Disclosure An electrical capacitor has a pair of electrodes, which are metallized paper strip electrodes, with a synthetic resin film dielectric between the electrodes. The electrodes and the dielectric are wound in a roll, mounted in a casing, and impregnated with dielectric fluid which is a blend of an aromatic hydrocarbon selected from the group consisting of phenyl xylyl ethane, mono- isopropyl biphenyl, and phthalate ester. The use of this blend for a dielectric fluid improves the electrical performance of the capacitor.
