An external mix air atomizing spray nozzle assembly comprising a nozzle body having liquid and air flow passages, and an air cap formed with an air chamber communicating with said air passage and a plurality of angled pressurized air discharge passages communicating with said chamber at an angle to a central axis of said spray nozzle assembly for directing pressurized air onto a liquid flow stream discharging from said liquid passage. The angled air discharge passages each are defined by a conical indentation in a front face of the air cap and a cylindrical bore communicating in perpendicular relation to a side surface of the conical indentation. The design of the angled air discharge passages permits easy manufacture and design modification for particular spray applications.
L'invention concerne un ensemble buse de pulvérisation par atomisation d'air mélangé externe, comprenant un corps de buse pourvu de passages d'écoulement d'air et de liquide, et un chapeau d'air présentant une chambre à air en communication avec ledit passage d'air et une pluralité de passages d'évacuation d'air sous pression angulaires en communication avec ladite chambre au niveau d'un angle par rapport à un axe central dudit ensemble buse de pulvérisation, afin de diriger l'air sous pression sur un flux de liquide évacué par ledit passage de liquide. Les passages d'évacuation d'air angulaires sont chacun définis par un renfoncement conique dans une face avant du chapeau d'air et un alésage cylindrique en communication perpendiculaire avec une surface latérale du renfoncement conique. La configuration des passages d'évacuation d'air angulaires permet une fabrication simple et une modification de configuration pour des applications de pulvérisation particulières.
