This invention relates to moist heat therapy. More particularly, the invention relates to an improved moist heat pack and method of using the same. The present invention has a temperature monitoring means (20) attached to the outer surface (4) of a moist heat pack that is specifically calibrated to measure skin surface temperature at the opposite outer skin contacting surface (6). The temperature monitoring device (20) of the present invention thereby continuously monitors skin surface temperature during therapy. The moist heat pack of the present invention can also comprise a layer (16) for preventing moisture evaporation from the top surface (4) of the pack.
