A fuel cell (10) for use with a combustion tool (86) for delivery of a predetermined amount of fuel with each stem actuation is provided and includes a housing (12) defining an open end enclosed by a closure (16). A main valve stem (26) has an outlet (28), disposed in operational relationship to the open end and reciprocating relative to the housing at least between a closed position wherein the stem is relatively extended, and an open position wherein the stem is relatively retracted. A fuel metering valve (25) is located within the housing, associated with the main valve stem, including a fuel metering chamber (38) disposed in close proximity to the closure and configured so that when the stem is in the open position, only a measured amount of fuel is dispensed through the outlet. In a preferred embodiment, the fuel cell housing includes a separate fuel container (22), and the fuel metering valve includes a valve body (34) having a second end opposite the fuel metering chamber located within the container.
L'invention concerne une pile à combustible (10) utilisée avec un outil de combustion (86) qui permet de distribuer une quantité prédéterminée de combustible à chaque actionnement de la tige, laquelle pile à combustible comprend une enveloppe (12) définissant une ouverture ouverte entourée d'une fermeture (16). Une tige de soupape principale (26) comporte une sortie (28), disposée dans une relation fonctionnelle par rapport à l'extrémité ouverte et effectuant un mouvement de va-et-vient par rapport à l'enveloppe au moins entre une position fermée dans laquelle la tige est relativement étendue, et une position ouverte dans laquelle la tige est relativement rétractée. Une soupape de dosage de combustible (25) est placée à l'intérieur de l'enveloppe, associée à la tige de soupape principale, et comprend une chambre de dosage de combustible (38) disposée à proximité immédiate de la fermeture et configurée de manière que lorsque la tige se trouve en position ouverte, seule une quantité mesurée de combustible est distribuée à travers la sortie. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, l'enveloppe de pile à combustible comprend un contenant de combustible séparé (22), et la soupape de dosage de combustible comprend un corps de soupape (34) comportant une seconde extrémité opposée à la chambre de dosage de combustible située à l'intérieur du contenant.
