The invention concerns a device for heating a surface by induction, in particular for molding or transforming a part made of thermoplastic or thermosetting composite material. The device comprises a body (16) having at least one portion (18) made of magnetic and heat conducting material wherein is provided a plurality of closed cavities proximate the surface (12) to be heated, each cavity surrounding a field winding (24). The heat produced by induction on the walls of the cavity is transferred by conduction to the heating surface. The distance between the cavities and the position of said cavities relative to the heating surface are such that the heating is substantially uniform on said surface.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de chauffage d'une surface par induction, notamment en vue d'un moulage ou d'une transformation d'une pièce en matériau composite thermoplastique ou thermodurcissable. Le dispositif comporte un corps (16) présentant au moins une partie (18) en matériau magnétique et conducteur de la chaleur dans lequel est ménagée une pluralité de cavités fermées à proximité de la surface (12) à chauffer, chaque cavité entourant un inducteur (24). La chaleur produite par induction sur les parois de la cavité est transférée par conduction vers la surface chauffante. La distance entre cavités et la position de ces cavités par rapport à la surface chauffante sont telles que le chauffage soit sensiblement uniforme sur cette surface.
