An inhalation device comprising a base having a slot for insertion of a single blister containing a dose of medicament to be inhaled into the base is disclosed. The inhaler has a mouthpiece pivotally mounted to the base which carries a blister piercing element operable to pierce a blister received in said slot when the mouthpiece is pivoted relative to the base. When a user inhales on the mouthpiece, the dose is entrained in an airflow and flows out of the blister through the mouthpiece and into the user's airway.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'inhalation comprenant une base pourvue d'une fente, qui permet l'insertion d'un emballage-coque unique contenant une dose de médicament devant être inhalé dans la base. Ledit inhalateur possède une embouchure montée pivotante sur la base, qui supporte un élément de perçage d'emballage-coque servant à percer un emballage-coque reçu dans ladite fente lorsque l'on fait pivoter l'embouchure par rapport à la base. Quand un utilisateur inhale à partir de l'embouchure, la dose est entraînée dans un flux d'air et s'écoule hors de l'emballage-coque à travers l'embouchure jusque dans les voies respiratoires de l'utilisateur.
