An injection molding nozzle having improved corrosion and wear resistance is disclosed for use in a hot runner injection molding system. The nozzle includes a nozzle body having a nozzle melt channel for receiving a melt stream of moldable material from a melt source. The nozzle has a nozzle seal comprised of a tip retainer and a nozzle tip having a tip melt channel, wherein the tip retainer secures the nozzle tip to the nozzle body such that the tip melt channel receives the melt stream from the nozzle melt channel. The nozzle tip further includes a tip base of a thermally conductive material that has a diamond crown secured to a downstream end thereof. The diamond crown sits within a vestige area of the injection molding system and provides improved corrosion and wear resistance to the nozzle tip.
La présente invention a pour objet une buse de moulage par injection ayant une résistance à la corrosion et à l'usure améliorée, pour une utilisation dans un système de moulage par injection à canal chauffé. La buse comporte un corps de buse ayant un canal de coulée de buse destiné à recevoir un flux de matière en fusion pouvant être moulée à partir d'une source de matière en fusion. La buse possède un joint d'étanchéité de buse comportant un dispositif de maintien d'embout et un embout de buse ayant un canal d'embout pour matière en fusion, le dispositif de maintien de l'embout assurant la fixation de l'embout de buse sur le corps de buse de telle sorte que le canal d'embout pour matière en fusion reçoive le flux de matière en fusion provenant du canal d'embout pour matière en fusion. L'embout de buse comporte en outre une embase d'embout en matériau thermoconducteur qui possède une couronne de diamant fixée à une extrémité aval de celle-ci. La couronne de diamant repose à l'intérieur d'une surface restante du système de moulage par injection et confère à l'embout de buse une résistance à la corrosion et à l'usure améliorée.
