A vehicle lamp assembly comprised of: a heat sink (14) with at least one flange (80) extending beyond the lamp assembly; a circuit board (19) functionally engaging the inner surface of the heat sink (14) and having a power supply circuitry; at least one light emitting unit (15) electrically connected to the heat sink (14); a potting compound (20) substantially imbedding the circuit board (19) and corresponding electrical connections; and a lens (11) operatively attached to the heat sink (14). In one embodiment, the light emitting unit is an LED. In alternate embodiments, the lamp assembly can include fins and/or fans (16) to further facilitate cooling of the assembly, and/or a reflective inner surface of the heat sink to increase the lamp assembly's luminous output.
La présente invention concerne un ensemble lampe pour véhicule comprenant : un dissipateur thermique (14) pourvu d'au moins une ailette (80) s'étendant sous l'ensemble lampe ; une carte de circuits imprimés (19) en contact fonctionnel avec la surface interne du dissipateur thermique (14) et présentant un ensemble de circuits d'alimentation électrique; au moins une unité électroluminescente (15) connectée de manière électrique au dissipateur thermique (14); un produit d'enrobage (20) enrobant essentiellement la carte de circuits imprimés (19) et les connexions électriques correspondantes; et une lentille (11) reliée de manière fonctionnelle au dissipateur thermique (14). Dans un mode de réalisation, l'unité électroluminescente est une DEL. Dans des modes de réalisation différents, l'ensemble lampe peut comprendre des ailettes et/ou des ventilateurs (16) pour permettre un meilleur refroidissement dudit ensemble, et/ou une surface interne rétroréfléchissante afin d'améliorer la sortie lumineuse de l'ensemble lampe.
