ABSTRACT The intracellular delivery of biochemical agents, such as therapeutic peptides and oligonucleotides, is facilitated by a carrier peptide coupled therewith. The carrier peptide consists desirably of positively charged D-amino acids. In a preferred embodiment, the carrier peptide consists of 8 or 9 D-arginine residues.
